According to the Statistics of the Diocese of Hong Kong, there are around 400,000 Catholics in Hong Kong-- around 5% of the total population. The majority of the Hong Kong Catholics are local Chinese. However, there are various national groups of English-speaking, Filipino (majority), French, German, Indian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish-speaking, Sri Lankan, active Catholics. The grand total coming to about half a million.
